Being the fashionable girl that I am, I couldn't help but to notice the newest trend amongst black starlets. They have a great new accessory that seems pretty affordable for the average gal....a white guy. Many famous sisters who have been unlike in love, like the lovely Halle Berry, have stopped waiting around for the so called IBM (Ideal Black Male).
Halle and her boy toy Gabriel
My Fave Couple Robin Thicke and Paula Patton
Kerry Washington and her Former Fiance
My Favorite Seattle Grace Intern Justin Chambers aka Karev with his Beautiful Brown Wife
I've never dated outside of my race, but I'm eager to see how this new trend would look on me, or better yet, on top of me! Sorry for the crude joke but its been awhile and as you can see my mental health has been slipping. So will anybody else be trying this new trend? Or will you still be toting around last seasons black guy? Either way I'm sure you'll still be fabulous because love is always in style♥

Karev has like five children, doesn't he? I just found this out when I was watching Maid In Manhattan for the 100th time. He was J-Lo's fiancee.
Damn thats a throwback I forgot about him in the movie! But he does have a gang of kids
Interesting post . . . you can't even be mad at Halle, though, after she had not one, but TWO brothas cheat on her. I thought Kerry and David would make it, though.
Oh well . . . .
I went to elementary shcool with that Justin Chambers wife..She's puerto rican..:) Man she looks better now!!!
are you serious? i had no idea. puerto ricans are like black woman they come in all different shades!
What decade are you from? Is this the first interracial couple you've ever seen?
Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are so cute together. They're my favorite couple of those listed too.
i dont understand, all of these women are (except for kerry) are mixed, not 100% black. Calling them "black" and assuming that they would be with black men is strange to me.
i agree with anonymous. people call me black when i'm mixed with
Guyanese, Trinidad, Barbadians, Venezuelan,Scottish and Chinese
it all comes together to make a beautiful skin tone. but its hard to explain that i not african american
witch is what black is
black is not JUST african american. what do you think they call black people in europe? here's a hint: it doesn't have the work american in it, and it probably translates to BLACK. and being african american almost guarantees that you are not JUST black. my family is black american, native american, french, italian, and portuguese on my mum's side; black american, jamaican, and senegalese on my dad's side. my mother is so fair that i honestly thought she was white until i was six years old! black is a lot of things.
but back on topic...robin thicke and paula patton are just about the cutest couple ever...but when are sistas gonna take it all the way in hollywood and go to war-torn countries adopting up all the poor white babies, 'cause white celebs with their new black babies is getting so tired...
i feel kind of offended that. what the writer said whit is the new black. fuck that, i'm a black young man. and a good one at that. i dont believe white is the new black. cause it will never come close to black. its almost like society is trying to destroy the black man. its bad enough we are destroying our selves. we need our sisters out there to lift us up. stop trying to make us be something we're not.
OMG totally loved the article. I live in the land down under, there's a shortage of IBMs because there's a shortage of brothers. I chose not to restrict myself so to speak and now I got 'Shia LaBeouf's' younger brother. Love knows no bounds (or race)!!!
Not maid in manhattan silly. wedding planner. mossimo -- as in "i like the spedd." or maybe i've seen that movie too many times.
on another note, all jokes aside (but honestly people stop getting so offended) people can't help who they like, let alone who they fall in love with. and i think it is nice that interracial relationships have become much less taboo. i think it is emblematic of how far our melting pot of races has come in beginning to truly accept one another.
I love your blogsite, especially this latest post as it is something I am all too familiar with. Men, if you are like me..you love women, and why limit yourself in your search for Mrs. Right, there are so many beautiful women in the world. I have dated Persian, hispanic, black, white, asian....in the end you are looking for that person who's soul will mesh with yours and create the destined beauty that will be both of you in eternity. I know I sound like a hopeless romantic...but there are some of us out there still who belive in true love...and I belive we are also not so deluded into thinking that she has to be a certain color, class, or any other in the box type of foolish stereotypical thinking. God made us all, we are all human and have souls, thus...what's the difference. Love everyone and just find your soulmate, whoever she may be.
I don't understand why it would matter if the women were 100% "black" or not. My father was Filipino but I still consider myself black/ african american/whateverthehellyouwanttocallit.
I digress, I have never dated outside of my "race" either. I just am not attracted to anyone other than black men. I do however think that Brad Pitt is that HOTTEST white guy ever. I'm just sayin'...
Dope post! :)
Well, I'm Latin American guy and in my country (Venezuela) what you call "interracial couple" is SO normal here. Maybe because we all are mixed together most of us can't clasify ourselves into white or black people. But I do think that is a good thing to see interracial couples, there's nothing wrong with that. For example, Beyonce is hot and I believe that any man can't ignore that even if he's white, black or asian.
Love is Love...
